Caracol doubles down on IMTS 2024 in Chicago image

Transforming the future of manufacturing with Caracol’s Robotic Additive Manufacturing game-changing technology

On September 9-14, 2024, Caracol will be in Chicago (IL, USA) at McCormick Place to showcase its cutting-edge technology at IMTS 2024, the largest manufacturing technology show in North America, exhibiting the disruptive potential of LFAM and robotics in optimizing and transforming value chains across industrial sectors. Furthermore, this year IMTS is expanding its focus and space dedicated to additive manufacturing and automation as these technologies gain traction on industrial supply chains.

Caracol will double its presence for this show: at booth 433039 in the North Hall, you’ll find several disruptive industrial projects and applications developed with customers across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, energy, maritime, and at KUKA’s booth 236807 in the West Hall, you’ll be able to see Heron AM live printing.

KUKA chose Caracol as a reference for LFAM application of robotics, recognizing the company’s leading role in this field. The partnership with KUKA for this tradeshow is representative of the many years of collaboration between the two companies, as Caracol begun developing and industrializing its robotic AM platform utilizing their 6-axis robotic arms for kinematics. Since Caracol’s inception, the company believed that to be able to print large parts the benefits of 3D printing robotics can truly enable efficiency and flexibility – enabling users to easily scale and modularize their production – while also introducing higher degrees of geometric freedom to make parts that cannot be made with conventional technologies or with traditional 3D printing machines.
