We are looking for an Application Engineering Project Specialist who will support the development and industrialization of Additive Manufacturing projects, combining engineering expertise with cross-functional collaboration.

In this role, you will work closely with Sales and internal teams to evaluate customer requests, translate technical requirements into feasible solutions, and ensure parts are optimized for LFAM production.

Few examples of responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities on acquired orders for both On-Demand Projects and Technology Benchmarks
  • Support the Sales department during feasibility studies by analyzing customer files, technical prerequisites, functional requirements and in the development of technical offers
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs and parametric 3D models, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Interface with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to validate technical feasibility and alignment with design specifications
  • Contribute to the definition of Material & Process requirements in collaboration with internal teams
  • Perform CAD and engineering activities to evaluate part printability according to LFAM criteria and prepare designs for production
  • Interface with Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth project execution and readiness for manufacturing
  • Draft and maintain complete technical documentation and design records to ensure traceability and industrial readiness
  • Manage project activities end-to-end, including coordination with Purchasing, Logistics and Administrative functions

Ideal Background:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in Mechanical Design or Design Engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles
  • Excellent knowledge of CAD tools for solid and parametric modeling
  • Good knowledge of polymer and plastic materials
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Italian
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and solid problem-solving abilities

  • Experience with thermo-mechanical simulations
