As a Laboratory & Machine Junior Specialist specialized, you will be at the forefront of our innovative polymer technology and additive manufacturing processes in the Research and Development team. You’ll operate cutting-edge machines, prepare insightful reports on prints, and actively support the team in material testing. Your role will involve managing our state-of-the-art laboratory and R&D spaces, performing routine maintenance on advanced machinery, and handling a variety of materials and inventory. Additionally, you’ll oversee waste management and ensure safety standards are met, preparing comprehensive reports to keep our operations running smoothly.

Few examples of responsibilities:

  • Operate the machine: preparation, start-up, and monitoring of prints.
  • Prepare reports on prints.
  • Creation of coupons, preparation through post-processes such as CNC or manual work, and any laboratory tests.
  • Manage the laboratory and operational spaces (cells) in R&D, with particular attention to facility caring and the small R&D warehouse.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery (cleaning, routine checks, interventions to ensure continuity, and repair of faults).
  • Manage inventory and handle materials (hardware, pre-assembled objects, incoming robots, plates, wire coils, etc.).
  • Manage waste in the monitoring area for loading/unloading goods and scraps, without personally handling disposal.
  • Monitor safety and prepare safety reports.

Ideal Background:

  • Diploma/ITS or Degree in Mechanical/Material field
  • Up to one year of experience with industrial machinery, including knowledge of operating machines and performing ordinary maintenance
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Nice to have: knowledge of 3D Printing and 3D Modelling Software (CAD, Rhinoceros, Fusion, Inventor)
  • Practical problem-solving approach, precision and creativity
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Nice to have: Forklift license (nice to have; training can be provided)
  • Good English level (B2/C1), Italian is a nice to have
